Amused?

Me, not so much. That is in regards to amusement park rides. Ya, I don't do so well with them. I tried, to be brave, and even convinced my 10 yr old to ride with us all. You know, cause it would be fun. I thought I was going to die!!  I closed my eyes for about 90% of the ride. I wish I could have taken a picture of the picture they took of me. I felt sick for the rest of the day. Wanna see what part of it looked like:

Three of the kids & daddy went on this ride first!  It was crazy fast!!  

Then we saw…

And were bored driving!

SONSHINE

We conquered Sonshine Festival and the heat & humidity that was had the week we were there.  We had a BLAST!!!  This is coming from the person who doesn't like heat, outdoors & much music (not the tv channel for those children of the 80's & 90's).  We are considering a subsequent trip in the future.  You should join us, that'd be fun!  But I have to say, I do love live music, so that helps! 

This was Building 4:29, who got their band name from Ephesians 4:29, go read, it's a great verse. 

You can't tell, but this was Skillet.  Great show!!  Wow!  I'm not a huge fan of heavy metal music, but my family is, and this band is growing on me. Shhh, don't tell my family, but this was one of my favorite performances for me of the week.

Corn!!

Did you know, that corn is North Dakota & South Dakota's #1 crop? Well, you do now! And it's everywhere there.  

Yes, these were two different fields. Hard to tell really, but its true. Soybeans is #2. Fun fact!  

Shopping, swimming & driving is pretty much what we've done the last 3 days, including today. Having fun, every mile! Yup, not kilometre. 

We ate at a Cracker Barrel. It was so fun, my dad would have loved the atmosphere. In fact when I walked into the restaurant I almost burst out crying cause I thought of him.

And the living is easy!!  Well, sorta!  We've been chillaxin' a lot, doing a whole lot of nothing.

Some stuff

We've had a few busy weeks!  So glad a lot of it is coming to an end. And really, compared to other families, we aren't even remotely busy. But I like to basically do nothing and have nothing on the go.  I have 5 other family members that have a say in things, so, ya. 

We've gone on a few new geocaching excursions!!  They've been fun, even when we don't find the cache, it's fun being together, and that's the kind of things I like, being together!! 

The younger two girls had their final choir, I wish I could post a video from my phone, but that doesn't work.  So I will post a picture instead. 

It was lovely, but I'm glad it's over. 

We got our recycle bin yesterday, and I couldn't be happier. See when I married this man, almost 18 yrs ago, he came with a few quirks. One was he recycled, everything. So over the years we have had a few chats about the responsibilities, and who they fall on. So, now, we can just walk to our back yard and recycle!  And then pull it to the front twice a month!  So stoked about that!

Sunday, Funday!!

We had so much fun today, I have to share!!  We had a full day, fun filled one that's for sure. 

This was supper!!  We are in the backyard with burgers cooked over the open fire!  Then after supper we went geocaching again!  

We need up finding three in total, one friends pretty much put it right in front of us, but it felt good finding one!  Because after lunch we tried to find 2 different ones in our neighbourhood but were unsuccessful. So it sure felt good to find 3!  We then went for ice cream! Can't wait to go again! So much fun! Check it out.. geocaching.com.
