The Picket Line

Is a depressing place!! It really is, I truly don't know how the people do it, day after day!! Good thing it is only 4 hrs a day. The kids and I have joined him a few times, and the first time I walked with him the whole time, I was very blah all evening and actually crashed on the couch by 10pm, which is odd and that happen to be the night hubby was up till 1 am, which is even odder for any of you that know hubby, he's the one crashing on the couch at 10pm. But we happened to have be on TV both the times we were there, once on CTV and once on CBC, the kids were pretty thrilled with that!! Hubby was able to walk a few extra hours a couple of days, so that he could have a Friday off and we went camping! It was fun, I got burnt, we had really bad camping neighbours, and I don't want to go camping again for a while, but other that that it was fun!! I never took a single picture, if you can believe it...oh well, next time!!

We don't have much planned over the next few weeks, more of the same, hubby is walking the picket line, but starting Monday, the union is giving them a raise!! Yah, things are looking up!

One thing we are looking forward to is the birth of our 9th cousin/niece or nephew, that is going to be exciting to meet this little person and see who will joining our big happy family!!

It's almost time (lots of pictures)

For my husband to be walking the picket line at his work. I'm really not looking forward to him being on strike. There is sooo much uncertainty, it's scaring me. There is only 2 months of stike pay, after that it's all up to ourselves...and hubby is talking of it going into harvest/fall. That scares me, being a one income family. And I am not about to go out looking for a job, I haven't had a 'job' in 12 years! Please Pray for quick resolve!! Thanks!

We went camping again last weekendit was supposed to be a homeschooling event, and there were only 4 homeschooling families there, including us. We were even thinking of bailing because it had rained all day Friday, and we had been camping the 2 weekends before, but we said we were going and so we went. I doubt we will go back to that camp ground, it was small, and the campsites are kinda close. But the kids had fun exploring the surroundings and hanging out with the other homeschoolers that were there, which thank-fully were close to the same ages as our kids. They had a pool there tooso the kids had fun on Saturday swimming, and so did daddy!!
We went to A Heritage Day at the Clay bank Brick Plant on Sunday the 29th. That was fun, we were there all day and we saw rope making, blacksmithing brick laying (they all had a turn) spinning wheel and loom display (they all had a turn). We also took a tractor hay ride into the clay banks, and a jigger ride! All in all it was a great day, we got to see lots of homeschooling familes, and hubby got to enjoy some Saskatoon berry pie!

Emmalee took a lot of these pictures, that's why you don't see her much!
