Birthdays!

Well, another Birthday came and went, and now our one and only son is 8!! It's sooo hard for me, I'm kinda sad a little that they are growing up so fast. We did our family day, my husband takes the day off, and we take the birthday child for lunch or supper and then we do a fun family thing. For Noah's we went bowling! We had alot of fun, and the hour seems to go by too fast, I think we need to start staying for an hour and a half or 2 hours. We had so much fun!

We had a party for him as well, he wanted to invite all the family, so we did that Saturday. I forgot my camera in the van, so i don't have pics of his party
:( Just one of his cake, the camera was still defrosting.

Going out for lunch/supper to a restaurant is sooo stressful for me, but you know what, every time we go out, at least one person makes a sweet comment about how well behaved they are and or how gorgeous they are. It just amazes me. I love it when a stranger blesses my heart like that. Makes a momma proud!!
Noah, so sweet and caring. He loves holding his cousins, and is often found snuggling them! I love moment like this. And this picture is of me.

I am usually on the other side of the camera, and my husband got camera happy one day, I won't post the others he took of me, but here is one I actually like!

My Skin

I'm usually pretty hush hush about this topic. I don't like speaking about it, cause to me, if I don't talk about it, maybe they won't notice it. Well, sometimes it's hard to NOT notice it...especially now. I have Psoriasis, it is a skin condition that is hereditary, and not contagious. It has been 'in my family' for a long time. My dad has this condition, and I know that one of his uncles had it as well. It is cause by, basically my skin grows faster than most peoples, too fast, so then it builds up and creates a flaky, itchy spot. Two years ago, on my 29th birthday, I got sick, went to the doctor, got medication, took it, and after a few days I started breaking out in a rash, really bad, all over kind of rash. All the rash 'bumps' turned into psoriasis....I was covered in them...I recall going on a vacation to Calgary and the mountains, and I was wearing long sleeved shirts cause I wanted to cover them up...I was dying, cause it was sooo hot. Here is a picture from one of the days, if you look at my neck you will see what I was dealing with. If you get grossed out easily, don't look.

So....come New Years, remember when I said I was sick...well, guess what....it turned into the same thing as almost 2 yrs ago...really bad rash...I am sooo stressed out, and depressed because of it, and I want to cry, like everyday, all day. I hate this, and I hate that it has taken me over. I don't know what to do anymore. Two years ago I went on this pill, I got it from California, from a place called the Merry Clinic, well, I was on it for a few months, and they started clearing up...but I couldn't afford to stay on it, the shipping, and the cost of these pills were crazy. And a few times I had to pay duty on the stupid things.
I'm going to pray that it doesn't get worse and hide for a few weeks, or only go out at night so no one sees...lol

It's Picture Time!!

My parents and all the grandchildren (so far)

The Kids Christmas morning in there new PJ's, Robe's and fuzzy socks! They were pretty excited to get the robes!

Our Tree with all the gift under it!!

Emmalee's friends, it was kinda neat how it went from tallest to Shortest (it isn't even oldest to youngest)

This is what the girls made, name frames! I think they all enjoyed it, they were very creative that's for sure!!

This is what Noah set up to keep the girls out of his room!! All his little army men!! Love it!! It didn't work though, all the girls jackets were in his room.

We went out for lunch, and the sang a song to Emmalee, and let her spin the big wheel, she got a free dessert, but let me tell you, she was really afraid she'd get the pie in the face, or help clean tables!!! It was cute!!

This is my New Years Eve Feast!! Even though I was sick with the Flu, I HAD to make this for the rest of the non sick people. I didn't want to let them down. They all loved it!!

That's all for now, hope you enjoyed the little glimpse into our christmas and new yrs!!

Look what an hour and a half can do!!!

Isn't that amazing, I wish it would stay like that, but I'm sure in a couple days it will be like the previous post...Now to start school, tomorrow!!! Having a 'clean slate' will definitely give me some motivation to get rolling after a 2 1/2 week break.
This holiday picture post is still coming!!

The Plan Was to

Start school this morning, January 7th, 2008. Well, I'm not. My school room, (see below) it has been a huge mess, and I mean HUGE, since school ended on the 21st. I can now imagine what my house would look if we didn't do the daily pick up, dishes and whatever. Yikes. We aren't starting for a few reasons, the school room is a mess, they are starting afternoon gymnastics today, and I'm not feeling well still. We won't be starting tomorrow either, because it is my Grandpas funeral. So, Wednesday, I hope.

I actually bought a card the other day for my mom. I couldn't even begin to try to make one that would be even close to what I wanted to say, so I decided to buy one, well, I actually bought two cause I couldn't decide, so I gave her one already, and I will give her one maybe tomorrow or later in the week.

Stay tuned for picture update, from Christmas, new yrs and Em's birthday!

Sadness

Yesterday I found out my grandpa passed away. He was 79 years old, and this April, on my 31st birthday we were going to have a big 80th Birthday party for him, cause his birthday was 2 days after mine. Instead, we are going there, next week, to celebrate his life! He was a pretty cool Grandpa, and had a smile on his face whenever we saw him. His wife of 50 years is in a Care Home suffering from Alzheimer's. My mom has essentially lost both of her parents, as my nanny doesn't know who she is anymore, and hasn't for quite some time. This is very hard on her, but she knows that he is in Heaven with Jesus running up and down the streets of heaven. He hasn't been able to run since he was a young man, when he was running away from a team of horses that ran over him, and crushed his hip.

I made this for my mom for mothers day this year, this is her mom and her one year when we went up to celebrate an anniversary, or birthday.
I love this frame (scrapbook layout) and that picture of my nanny!!!
Give your loved ones an extra squeeze for me today, and hold them close to you. Our time on this earth is short, but our time in Heaven is eternal! Know Jesus!!

Excitement!!!!!

I have to tell you one thing that I am very excited for this year, My husband and I are going to be an aunt and uncle for the 8th time in March!!! My husbands little brother and his wife are expecting their very first baby!!! They are due around the same time I had my third baby! I can't wait for the news of the arrival! I hope that it would work out that maybe we could all go up the day they deliver, even better, be there when they deliver, to hear the news first thing!! Oh, I am getting shivers just typing this, I love new blessings!! What a blessing this little baby is already, and it isn't here yet. WE are thrilled for Chris & Aimee and the new bundle of joy that we can't wait to spoil with hugs and kisses.

Another exciting event, is another baby. My brother and his wife are due with their second child in August of this year aswell!! We are very excited to get to be close by for when their blessings arrives in this world!!

We have so much to be thank-ful for, and so much to look forward to this year! Both families are in my prayers always, for safe deliveries and healthy babies!!

A New Year

I don't make new yr resolutions, I just never have, because I didn't like the pressure of it all. This year I have made one, with no pressure. I'm going to keep it to myself for now, cause I don't want a bunch of people watching and waiting to see if I fail ;) Instead, if you can, pray for me that I will have strength to keep up with my new yrs 'goal', I like that word better, my New Years Goal!!

We had a great Christmas, we did the usual. Christmas at my parents with the whole family (19 of us for now) on the Sunday before Christmas. Then Christmas Eve here, pizza for supper, going to church, coming home and opening a present (new PJ's). Staying up way tooo late on Christmas eve, and waking up waaaaaaaay too early on Christmas morning (this year they tried to get away with 5am, NOT). Then heading out to my husbands childhood home for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Fun times!!

Then this year was different, a week after Christmas our oldest 'baby' was turning double digits!! She is now 10. Very hard to believe! We planned a party with 4 of her friends, and we crafted. Then, about when the last guests were leaving, I crashed.....and am still sick. I got the flu, not a fun way to ring in the new year! Was able to stay up till midnight, and then went to bed at 12:01, even brushed my teeth before midnight so I could just crawl into bed after the clock struck 12. Noah was the only one able to stay up till midnight. Bre crawled into bed around 10:00, Em and Lex went to bed at 11:30.

We don't have alot planned for this year yet, more camping of course, and finishing up the house list we didn't finish last year. What are some of your new years goals??

Happy New Years one and all!!! Hope this year is filled with love and memories to last your lifetime!! Wishing you many blessings!!
