Reno's and Birthdays

{ Sorry for the dial-up users, there are a few pictures to load}

There are 3 birthdays left in the family to celebrate before we start it all over again after Christmas, which is a long ways away. We are hoping to travel to Saskatoon this week for a few reasons, one to celebrate my baby's 5th birthday and to see the new baby (which hasn't arrived yet, but we are hoping it will arrive before the 5th or 6th, which I am sure they are hoping for too) We are also hoping to take in the Western Development Museum, and do alot of swimming! I have to make some phone calls tomorrow, cause the hotel people we talked to tonight didn't know what they were talking about. And in May, we are celebrating my DH's birthday by redoing our shingles on our house, yippee! We are having a big family get together, and we are hoping to get a trampoline before then too, so the kids will have something to do besides cleaning up the shingles! So, if anyone feels like they would like to help with shingles, and get some free lunch and cake out of it, let me know and I will add your name to the list!! So far we have my side of the family coming, but I know there are some of you out there that are dying to do shingles!!

(more pictures at the bottom of the post)

Here are some pictures that I took from our last birthday, Miss Alexa Dawn. She picked East Side Mario's to go to for lunch and got to spin the wheel, as you will notice, it did NOT stop on the pie in the face, however, Alexa asked for it!!! And the waitress brought it, and said Noah had to do it, well, Noah wasted no time, and did it good....it was quite funny, I didn't take a picture, 'cause I was too embarrassed...oh well. It was fun! We had been to Chuck E. Cheese prior to lunch and they had a blast! I love their Birthdays, spending it as a family! I still haven't done a big party for her which brings us to our next topic of discussion....

Reno's.

I said, and told people I was going to have a party for Alexa and Breanna after the basement bathroom is done, and my house is back in order....well, it's taking alot longer that *I* would like...I wish I could cut drywall....and hammer studs, but my DH is taking his sweet time, for no real reason, except, his word, laziness. He is busy at work, I understand that, that is why I wish I could do some of that hard labour kind of work.

This is the little puppet theatre we got her, she loves it! Isn't she adorable!!

Still No Baby

Easter weekend came and went, and it was a fun time at the farm visiting! I wished we could have spent the night, but my hubby is on call today for work, even though he has the day off...well, it's been nothing of a day off for him. The phone turned on at 8am, and he has been on it alllllll day. I was able to jet out with two of the kids to exchange this adorable dress my baby girl got as a birthday gift yesterday from Grandma. She absolutely loves it, we tried on the 'new' one at the store, and it looks sooo cute on her! I am hoping and praying this week goes by fast and that the baby arrives safe and sound soon!! Who knows, maybe it will decide to come next week and add to the April birthdays, that would be lovely, April is a great month ;)

We have a slow week, not much on. The kids have no Faith Builders this week, spring break, but we will continue on with school tomorrow. We have Afternoon Activities on Friday as usual.

I have no pictures to share today because I am on my laptop, and the pictures are on the other computer which is being taken over by my hubby's work stuff!

Our kitty cat has been living outside for about a week now. Emmalee seemed to be getting worse with her breathing and her skin, so we evicted the kitty. We were going to take him to the farm, but even I felt no so good about that idea. We would have tons of mice if he left us. He's a good mouser. So we will build him a home that he can live in all through the year. We'll get a heat lamp to use in the winter, he'll be ok.

Pure Love~A love that one never forgets!

{My Nanny}

Even if her mind has been taken over by a horrible disease, there is one thing that she will never forget, the love she has for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, the love she has for babies! And the love she has for her daughter. Even if her words come out as mumblings, they are her words, and she still makes sense in her mind. Sometimes things will come out, and it will be like nothing is wrong, like her mind is clear again from the disease. She told Emmalee that she looked tired, she told us there was a rude one (guessing it is someone at the nursing home). She held onto my niece Aubrie and rocked her like she had done for so many years with us! Pure, true love that comes from deep inside, the kind of love that no one ever forgets, even if you have Alzheimer's, we still love you!!!!

{Morning}

I am not a morning person, at all. But I am thinking I kinda need to start being one. My husband gets up quite early, way toooo early for me! His alarm clock does not wake me up. I usually get woken up by the sounds of children going pee, or walking up the stairs. I get kinda grouchy when I get woken up, and I don't like it. I need not to be so grouchy in the morning, and I thought getting up before them would help....I've been getting up before them for about a week, and the first few days, I was still grouchy. Then I decided to tell myself, Don't be! Don't be grouchy, it's all a matter of choice...you can choose the kind of behavior you want to portray. And I want to portray a refreshed, ready for the day mommy! I am still working on that part, but hey, I'm trying!

We have some sickly little kids right now. I was hoping it wouldn't get worse, sore throats and a little cough, but it has gotten worse with my baby. She woke up in the middle of the night in pain, asking for a drink, and bright and early this morning saying her ear hurts! Not fun! It's very hard to keep on schedule when one of the kids are sick.

We are getting close to an exciting event happening in our family. This is the month the kids are getting a new cousin!! They are sooo excited, as am I! I can't wait to get the phone call!! I'll maybe get the kids to guess what the baby will be and post as it gets closer to the date!

As spring gets closer, so does camping season!! Let me tell you, our trailer is in storage right now, but we all miss it! I think this is the last year it will be in storage, for a few reasons. 1 it costs waaaaayyy too much!! 2 after we put it in storage last yr, I wanted to use it a few more times!!

Valentines Day

Heart day, love day, whatever you and your family call it, it is one time a year when you are given permission to go overboard in showing your affection to the ones you love. Ever since my kids have been little, we've always given them something, a stuffed animal, a note pad, chocolate, whatever. Well, this year was a little stressful for me, because it seemed like I had a ton of other things going on....I stayed up really late the night before finishing the valentine cards, and I love love how they turned out!!! Plain and simple, but sometimes I think less is more when doing my cards!!Breanna's is purple, noah's is green, Emma's is white and pink with flowers, Alexa's is the yellow one, and my hubby's is the blue one with the striped paper!!
I also got this lovely potted mini roses from my darling husband, I love them and think they are adorable!! There is already a new bud growing, instead of a dozen roses dying right about now!!

There was a lunar eclipse last night, Feb 20th, and I didn't realize until the kids were in bed, so we got 3 of them out of bed to witness it!! It was pretty cool!! They were definitely excited. Something I don't think I have even seen!

We have another birthday party to go to today, the kids are sooo excited! We love parties!! And to all be invited to hang out with all of our friends is so thrilling for me, cause then I don't have to deal with the, "it's no fair, or why can't we go too?" comments, but also because it's a great time to get to know friends better and for the kids to grow there friendships aswell!!
Have a great week, and weekend!
