You'd know I was shy, and have a hard time striking up a conversation with anyone, let alone someone I've never met personally but plays a huge role in my husbands career. Today, while shopping at Costco, I found myself standing in line with the CEO on my husbands company standing behind me. I felt like I should say something, my husband works for this man...I leaned over and said, "My husband works at the ********." He said, "What?" I said it again, and he said "Oh, what's his name?" and I told him and he said, "Oh ya, yes." Then I told him I was surprised to see him in Regina. The company bought another major company and he has been traveling to Winnipeg and Calgary a lot lately. He told me he had just got in today, and then he asked how long my husband has been with the company and I told him. But you gotta know, it's just not like me to strike up a conversation with someone major like that. I was floored with myself!!! I immediately phoned my husband and told him and he was kinda surprised too! I then phoned my parents to tell them, ya, I was that impressed!! And they were shocked too. They also mentioned they were heading out to Regina beach for supper and to fish, so we decided to take the trip and meet them. It was a great night!!
We had supper, which was good. If anyone knows about Butlers, it's been around for almost 80yrs, and it has awesome fish and chips AND milkshakes!! It was pouring when we got to the

lake, and after supper it was perfect fishing weather!
Breanna was the first to catch something, it was a minnow...but it was still a catch!! My sister was the next to catch, she caught a pretty big jack, took a few pictures and set it free. Then another man caught 2, but they got away before he could pull them up. And shortly before we were about to leave, I caught a fish!!! But, mine too got away before it could be pulled up to the dock, AND it took my spoon and hook too! Some one's going to be in for a big surprise when they catch supper and find a really nice spoon along with the fish!
On the way home we went through some yucky weather, and the kids just got to bed, and it is after 10 now. TWO full hours past there bedtime. But it was a great evening, and Father's Day, so it was all OK. Maybe they will sleep in a little tomorrow!
Hope you all had a great weekend, and your Father's were blessed by you in some way. Whether it be a phone call, a card, a visit, a hug or a prayer to your heavenly Father. And for those whose father's have gone onto heaven already, my husband being one of them, I pray you find comfort in those around you and had someone special to spend your day with.
