More photos

We went back this morning to have another look at the trailer, we just wanted to make sure of a few things. We weren't sure how the dinette folded down, so we did that, and we wanted to kinda see how it all folded down too (which we will learn next week).

This is what it looks like from one end (king bed side) with the dinette and sofa bed down

This is what it looks like from the other end (queen bed side) with the dinette and sofa bed set up

We are now a tent trailer family

We went and test drove this PUP, as they are called, this afternoon and will pick it up next week some time. These pictures aren't exactly what we are getting, but the layout is the the model we are getting. It is a 2008 Flagstaff 228D model. I will post a picture of the actual trailer when it is in our driveway. But I just wanted to share my news with my blog readers!
PUP stands for Pop up Trailer (don't ask me why it isn't PUT??)
Oh, and ours does not have the porta potty...

Early in the morning

Last week Friday my husband was off for the day and we went fishing at the lake closest to the city (Regina Beach for those from this area) We got up at our usual time, freshly baked muffins for breakfast and kids who were so excited to go that didn't care that is was drizzling a little. What a gorgeous morning. So calm, and peaceful. We got to the lake and there were a few dozen pelicans chillin on the point. Such a neat sight.

Precious moments like this are food for the soul.

Everyone had a chance to cast out into the lake, but no one was lucky enough to make a catch. We had been out there a few weeks back, and about 10 mins after we got to the lake, my hubby caught a big fish, unfortunately though, we didn't have a net to pull it out of the water to take a picture :( We're prepared now, we have a big net which the kids used to catch crayfish while we were there.

We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and plan on doing it again any chance we can!

I took sooo many more pictures, but I don't want to bore you!

Take time to enjoy the simple things in life, and cherish the memories!!

Things weren't going so great...

when I overheard a conversation that blessed my heart, and it was just one of those moments you think, ya, this is working!

The morning was going well, and things were getting done, when I decided to switch things up a bit and sit on the front step with the kids and read to them as they were drawing pictures. Well, my littlest, who is quite the trouble maker, decided that wasn't what she wanted to do. She then proceeded to make things worse. Then I just told them all to go play, mommy need to take a breather. They did so, very well I might add until....crying came from the bedroom. My son Noah was crying...I though great, now what, and got up and proceeded to walk to the bedroom when I stopped halfway there to listen to what he was saying to his sisters. Noah was saying stuff like "How would you feel if you were 3 and we were 10 and you were being bossed around (still crying) I wish that you could be 3, so you could see what it was like to be Breanna, she always asks if she can play with us, and we always say no, and we fight over Alexa" I waited for a minute, listening to hear what my 9 yr old would say to her 7 yr old brother. I was flabbergasted when I heard what came out of her mouth, "Your right Noah" WHAT?? What did she just say?? WOW, I started crying and tear up now typing about it. I went in there and told them how proud I was of them for what they both did!

Slowly, but surely they are getting it!! Thank-you Lord for my 4 little blessings!!

This is an old picture, from Christmas Eve 2005, but I love it!

My son is blessed to be alive!!

This is what was stuck in the back of his thigh.....3 1/2 inch long (9cm) sliver!! He was climbing our fence between the two yards to try to get the lilacs from the top on the tree (the only place they grew this year). He lost his balance and fell, came screeching into the house crying, and kept asking 'what's stuck in there, what's in there?' I then proceeded to get the story from him about what happened, and we then decided to rush him to the hospital. My hubby took him, as we were about to have lunch and Emmalee had a friend over. They were back in less than an hour.

It was a huge blessing nothing worse happened. I phoned to tell my mom & dad, and my dad told me a story of a man who bled out in 5 mins from a antler piercing his thigh and died. Thank God this didn't pierce any arteries, or muscles. Just a GREAT BIG sliver.

Hubby and I had a little date last night, longest we've been out in a while. We had some little errands to do, then we went for supper and over to my brothers for a tiny bit. Alexa was telling one of our neighbour kids that we were going out on a date, and she was kinda giggling. So I asked her "What do Mommy's and daddy's do on dates? What does going on a date mean?" And her response is priceless. As she was telling her friend, "They are going to shop until all the stores close!!" She was pretty excited about that! It was so cute!!

Have a great weekend, we are headed out to Dilke tomorrow for a 'pizza night' at my parents place!! MMMmmmm good!

Bathroom!!

I can finally say that the main bathroom is officially finished!!

Here is what it looks like with shelves (Ikea), baskets (Ikea) towel bar and hand towel ring.
What do you think?? How does it look all done? I, personally, LOVE IT! If you hate it, don't tell me, k ;) Thanks :)

Here is a short list of what we still have to do on our house:

Paint the whole main floor
Basement bathroom (total makeover)
Deck
Fence
Remove part of the driveway behind the house
Carpet in the hallway

I'm sure there is more, but this is what we hope to get done this summer/fall/winter!! Sounds like we just moved in, but we've lived here for 10 1/2 years, we're just updating! When we moved in, that's all we had to do was move in...So now we update and add our touch to the house!! Keep you posted!!
