A whole lotta stamping going on...

I started stamping yesterday evening, and worked until I aquired a severe stomach ache around 11, then I continued stamping this morning around 11:30. I didn't feel so hot last night, wasn't sure if I was going to make it or not. Today seems to be a bit better, I still feel a little bit ill, but I'm persevering. Not sure what it is...

First I had fun dying ribbon:

Then I made 6 cards
Em's
Michael's
Alexa's
Noah's
Breanna's

So there you go, a little bit of fun, now I'm tired, and hungry, happy sunday!

Baby, it is cold outside

Wow, we are stuck in a deep freeze with severe windchills that make it -46C out. That was what it was when I took Emmalee to her soccer game at 8:30 this morning. YUCK. And it didn't let up for the rest of the time we were out.

Emmalee's team did awesome!!! One of there best games, it was a tie score, but we got the first goal, and that almost NEVER happens!! It was an on the edge of your seat game!! She played very well, and she took one for the team...right in the head. SMACK with the soccer ball. OUCH. Poor girl...the ref asked if she was alright...she said yes and ran off in tears. My baby took one for the team! (It was a really hard hit, nearly knocked her glasses right off her face :(

After that I picked up my mom and we headed out to Balgonie to watch the SaskPower Scotties Tournament of Hearts Women's Curling Champions to decide who was going to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Lethbridge! It was fun. The game we were at wasn't the deciding game. We were able to watch part of the former Sandra Schmirler team play, and win. It was like watching stars in the flesh! My mom and I were avid Schmirler fans!! We sure miss her, and her curling game. Breanna sees the commercial on tv and with Sandra Schmirlers voice, hurry hard. And Bre always say hurry hurry hurry, hurry hard.

We headed for lunch with my mom and dad and then to Costco for a stroll around. I just wanted to get home. After everyone arrived home and we had some quiet time, we made valentine card holders. It was so fun to see there imagination at work. Daddy and mommy made one too!!
We are nestled in for the evening, for some quiet time, I hope, as quiet as 4 children and a husband can be. Maybe I will stamp...I'm having withdrawls. What? It's been like 3 or 4 days.

Sickness has hit our home

For the first time this winter, and it has hit hard. There is no vomiting, thank goodness, but alot of little hot bodies with high fevers and colds. Michael is being hit by the illness aswell. He has called in sick for Thursday...So far I haven't been affected, and sure hope I don't, but with all the snuggling and caring for the little ones, the chances are....well, I'm just not going to get sick...

My baby thought she felt better for like a minute today and wanted a chance to play a game on the computer, and I think someone knew she was not feeling well and wanted to comfort her.

I'm working hard on my little project still, but I made something for my husband in the meantime...it is called a chipboard coaster calendar. It took me about 4 hours from start to finish: Sorry the pictures are so bad, I was tired when I took them and I only posted a few of the months, not all 12.
I hope to have a picture of the other project I am making, maybe on the 13th when I put them together, cause sometimes my kids are reading over my shoulder and I don't want them to see what they are getting.
I am thankful we don't have much on this week, not like we normally do, but it's nice to just be at home. Althought to be honest, I am going batty. I hope to maybe find some inner energy for tomorrow 'cause a lot of things have been put off...and it's getting bad in here. Sigh....
Happy Days will be here again....pray for us! Thanks!

The birthday boy is now 7. We had a great time on his special day. We watched him open his presents, went for lunch, bowling and then we went to a few pet stores to find a new fish tank stand. Then spent the night cleaning and setting up the new fish tank area. We came to find out as we were cleaning the very stinky tank, that 3 of the fish had went on to fish heaven LOL One was Breanna's, she was quite sadned by it. So after Emmalee's game on Saturday we stopped by a store and got her a new fish! Her look was priceless when she saw her new fish! Now she loves her Breanna Star fish!!

I have a little before and after picture of my 7 yr old. The first picture is of him just after christmas, and this next one if of him today!! He got a little trim...he wanted it spikey at the front...but today he said he misses his hair cause he can't curl it in his finger....soooo sweet!

Yesterday after church, lunch, soccer game and hair cuts we had a Free Willy Marathon! We watched all three Free Willys. (I didn't know there was a third :-/) It was fun, and hubby made supper, even better ... Pizza and ceaser salad. It was yumm-o! We had lots of snuggles on the couches, with everyone taking a turn with mom and dad both!

Emmalee was sick yesterday with a fever, sneezes and a cough. Her fever has broke today, although she still is coughing and sneezing. She's on the mend! It has kind of been the first sickness this winter, I've been relieved, last winter was a bad winter with a lot of illness.

I'm working on a special project for valentines day for the kids, something I'm sure I will be working on for the next 2 weeks...here is a sample of what I am making: Chipboard Coaster Box After they are done I will post a picture of them!!

Birthdays

We all have them, and we all have a few that are back to back, or really close together, friends, family, whatever. This week I have 3 back to back, Son, Friend, Sister-in-law. I made 2 cards last night, and dove into my handmade card stash for the other one. My son is turning 7 tomorrow. We will be decorating for his birthday tonight and popped into the Party Store at the Golden Mile (GREAT STORE for party supplies for any age) and we got him Hockey themed things. He is getting quite interested in hockey, with no help from his daddy of course. Oh, I just remembered what I needed...wrapping paper...oops. Well, I hope we have some end of the roll stuff left somewhere.

My Sister in law's birthday is on Saturday, and she is 4 months older than me, so she is turning the big THREE O before me. So of course I had to make note of that in the card.

My Friend/neighbours birthday is in between the 2, and I won't mention how young she is, but we did get together tonight so I could give her the card I made. It was nice to get out and talk to another women, mother, wife, human....lol

So anyways, on with the cards....here are the
2 I made last night! I had put an order in last week with my stamping supplier, and was hoping I could make a birthday card using my new stuff, but it hasn't arrived yet, so I had to use my old new stuff.....lol
I used all the new in colour inks from the stampin up catty, and the fun stitched ribbon. I also got myself a handy dandy tool called a crop-a-dile and used that for the white eyelets in the corners! I embossed the celebrate in black embossing powder and punched the Enjoy your day with a 3/8 circle punch, and the center with a smaller circle punch. I had alot of fun with this card. I also used my 5 in 1 envelope template for the first time and stamped it aswell!
For this card I embossed the frog with black embossing powder, and the happy birthday too. I kept asking my husband, are there blue frogs, how bout black frogs? So if there aren't black frogs, there are now!! If you look closely, you'll notice that i wasn't doing a very good job with the stapler. I made a few mistakes, but he will enjoy is anyways I'm sure!
It is the CC98 for this week at SCS!
Off to decorate now that all the kidlets are in bed!

This & That & Grace

I went to a memorial today, of a baby that was still born. It was sad. Her name was Grace Ann. She was 34 weeks along and God took her to be with Him. That's one thing that is sooo hard to understand, WHY? The service was really good, and special. The Pastor read a letter the mom wrote to her baby, and a poem the dad wrote. Both were amazing, and I almost lost it then. But kept it in, mostly. Then at the end, another Pastor sang Amazing Grace. WOW. It was amazing, it was like it was written for her. So precious. I made this for the mom and dad -----> It was my very first painted/modpodged frame! It was so nice to make, and when I first started it I didn't have anyone in mind to give it to, but as I made it, I felt led to make it for the parents. I'm thrilled with the results, and plan on making more in the future.

It is tuesday already, it sure doesn't feel like it. Michael will get a break in the week, as he has thursday off, and we get to have a family fun day! We plan on spending the balmy day bowling, maybe skating if it isn't too warm, and eating out at Boston Pizza for lunch.

I had my niece here today, it was fun to have a little little one around, since my baby is claiming that she is all growed up now. :`(``` (that's me crying) My sister had an ultrasound, and all is well. Baby is growing perfectly. She didn't find out, and I know if she did she wouldn't tell me anyways...lol But I think it is another girl, Noah thinks it is a boy, and Michael thinks it is a girl. I haven't asked the others ;)

Until next time...

Amazing Grace
by John Newton 1779
Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear,
And Grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come.
'Tis Grace hath brought me safe thus far
And Grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me.
His Word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.
