Tooth-less

Our 5 year old daughter has just lost her 7th tooth, and 2nd one in less than 24hrs no less. She's a tooth loosing machine, seriously, I think the first tooth she lost was when she had just turned 4. Emmalee, 9 has lost 8, Noah almost 7 has lost 8....and there 5 yr old sister is right behind them in the toothless grin department. The tooth fairy is running low in funding, in fact...she's very forgetfull too. This morning...Alexa woke up and promptly came upstairs to tell Noah that there was no money. She looked under her bed, under her pillow, Nothing...so I said I would come help look ;) They went ahead and I grabbed a twoonie from my purse and off I went. This isn't the first time that I had to come and make sure the tooth fairy didn't forget, and that they just didn't look hard enough.....So anyways, the twoonie was found, and all was good!! Funny thing about when Alexa lost her tooth last night, I was exchanging some pants at Costco and had come out to get the recipt from Michael, and he was parked about 5 rows away and I could hear this screaming...Come to find out when he pulled up, it was Emmalee screaming cause she had accidently knocked out Alexa's tooth....yikes, that girl can scream.

We went bathroom shopping last night, and purchased some bathroom essentials, like the tub, and toilet ;) It was fine, shopping with little kids isn't fine, and acctually I hate it. I think I expect too much from them. They are kids, and they aren't interested in toilets, and bath tub all that much...I dunno.

Here is a picture of the bathroom almost gutted...I wish I knew how to type on the picture. Behind where the tool box is will be a tub (under the window) On the Left hand side will be a pedestal sink, and there will be a new toilet. New gyproc, and paint, and floor also a pocket door!! It's going to look good. I will keep you posted. I don't have a before pic :( We are in the process of finding a plumber. If you know anyone, let us know ;)

Well, off for now, have a great week. This week is turning cold here, normal temperatures I suppose.

What a Fun Day!

We all had a great day today! We started it just relaxing at home, I got to stay in bed till 9:45, listening to all the commotion out in the kitchen! It was nice!
Emmalee played her second game of her soccer tournament. They played well and they had fun!

The lost both of there games, but considering how many shots on goal the other team had, the scores were relatively low!

1st game 7-2

2nd game 6-0

After the game we all went to Costco because my parents wanted to look for something there. We got a few things, glasses, bathing suit for Em, pants for Noah, pants for Michael and socks for all!!
After we got home Michael, Noah and Michael's two brothers and nephews all went to a Regina Pats game. So, it was a little girl time! We had a small supper, then went shopping!! We shopped around Wal-Mart for a little bit, came home and had a little 'slumber party'! It was alot of fun, while we were shopping I let the girls pick a new nail polish, and when we got home we did our hair,

painted nails,

And had a little photo shoot!!

Now it is quiet mommy time!!

Renovations

Hubby and I are going to attempt another major renovation in our house soon! We are gathering supplies slowly, and I am going to take some before, during and after pictures to post someday. We are renovating our bathrooms! Looking farward to having new updated colours, and fixtures and furniture! Last night we went and purchased some lino. The 2 upstairs bathrooms will be the same lino, and the downstairs one will be different. I'm looking forward to a refreshing change!

If I get around to stamping today, I will post it later! Been a little side tracked this morning. Here is a link to my card gallery on SplitCoastStampers ADK GALLERY.

This is my contribution to this weeks Color Challenge on SplitCoastStampers (SCS for short)

I just hafta say...

I did go skating yesterday!! Yep, I laced them up, and walked slowly to the rink, and placed the slippery blades onto the sheet of slippery ice, and clung to the boards 75% of the time!! You can stop laughing now...lol Don't worry, I'm laughing too! Seriously, it was bad. I'm not fond of skating. A little background....when I was twelve, I was skating backwards in the rink in my hometown, and I stumbled and broke my right ankle! So, I am a little leary about skating...and being 29, it is a harder fall than when I was 12!!!

Speaking of being 29....I can't believe I'm going to be 30 this year. I was talking to my third child the other night while I was putting her to bed, and we were talking about things happening this year, and I teared up when I said I was going to be 30. Age has never bothered me, it's just a number, that's all it has been to me. I've been married for 11 years, so that makes me 18 when I got married...I still feel like I am 18....seriously! My life changed sooo much when I met my husband, it was such a life changing time in my young life. (ok, I used the word life too much in that sentance, couldn't think of anything else, sorry) So, that is why I feel like I am still 18. I probably act like it too, which isn't always good. I'm trying to think of the word Oprah uses when she talkes about a time in your life that changed for you, defining moment I think. It was a defining moment for me. My 18th year. As I think back now to those times, I am teary eyed, a time in my life, before my 18th yr, I don't care to ever go back to. I had great parents, and I thank God for them. Without them and HIM, I doubt I would be here today writing this in my blog. Another defining moment for me (I'm about to open up here) was when I was 15 I think, I was in my parents basement bathroom, with a razor blade in my hand....crying, and crying out to God, and I heard Him say to me, loud and clear "Wait till you see your husband and children" At the time that's what I was focusing on, my future! High School is such a HARD time, especially hard in a small town school when the class size is 22, and they know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING.

Anyways, enough about all that nonsense. Today is a beautiful day, and I love life, my life, and all that surrounds me in my life!! (again with the word life, sorry)

I'm going to try to see if I can find a wedding photo of my hubby and I! Nope, I can't find one! So, here is one of us at 10yrs of marriage!!
Sorry for any spelling mistakes....

And School begins again!

We started school today! Kids have been doing well, and I am realizing I hate math again. Sigh...And it's only grade three math! Yikes!! I'm sooooo very thankful that my hubby is awesome at math! He will be doing the majority of it starting soon I think! ;) This kids are playing so well again, these last few days it seems as though there was alot of squabbling, little ones, but it was getting very annoying! So, now that we are back to a bit of a schedule, it's all good!

Today is gorgeous here, high of +4!! Right now as I type this it is a little past 11, and it is 0 now outside! I think the kids will be going out this afternoon for some play time in the snow! And when there daddy gets home, they will go skating I think, maybe I will too....shhhh, don't tell anyone ;) I'm just thinking about it, only because it isn't cold ;)

I stamped a card last week, I needed to stamp!! Of course it looks much better in person!

I dyed the brown ribbon myself! AmyR from SCS gives a great tutorial! Ribbon Dying. It was so much fun! I tried a technique I've never done before, called spotlighting. I'm thinking I need to stamp again soon!!

Hope you have a great day!

Happy New Year!!

Hope you had a great New Years Eve. We had a busy day yesterday, but so much fun!

Emmalee turned 9 yesterday!! Happy Birthday Sweety Bum! So we went to church, then home for a tiny bit, then out to lunch at Boston Pizza (her choice) then we went to a movie of her choice aswell, Happy Feet! It was so cute! Got a little on the long side, but kids enjoyed it, and sat pretty well considering. My 3 yr old was getting a little antsy, but so was I! LOL

Then we had a nice quiet evening, for the most part with 4 kids running around. This was the first year since hubby's dad passed away that his mom wasn't here for new years, and it was her very first new years alone at her home. Hubby's dad passed away 5 yrs ago, and ever since then she has been here celebrating with us. I kinda missed having her here. (shhhhh, don't tell anyone)

All the kids tried to stay up till midnight, Breanna crashed just before 10:30, Alexa was a short time later. Emmalee (birthday girl) stayed up till 11:20. Noah made it till midnight!!!! Did better than his daddy!! He fell asleep off and on till midnight! Although he was awake when the count down began!

We had alot of yummy food, cheese ball, mozza sticks, veggie spring rolls, cream puffs, chocolate covered almonds, mixed nuts, guacamole chips...it was good! We also had some sparkling grape peach drink later on in the evening! One of the kids said it was the best supper ever...hahaha

Today, laundry and maybe skating or sledding later. We'll see! Have a good one!!
